The stations pay a flat training fee of $2500 per market plus 10% of the “new” recruitment/retention dollars that are billed each month. Commissions are paid monthly on billing. The stations will provide a list of all recruitment clients that have been on air in the last 12 months…client names and recruitment spend for each. This becomes my “No Fly List”. I am not compensated on these clients UNLESS they bill in excess of their previous 12-month spend.

Expenses are additional and include: airfare on a major carrier; hotel; meals; ground transportation (if any is needed) and parking.

Description Page:

The following list constitutes what is considered “recruitment/recognition/retention” revenue:

  • Help wanted ads
  • Student recruitment for schools
  • Grand opening recruitment
  • Union membership recruitment
  • Clinical research recruitment
  • Plasma and blood donor recruitment
  • Staffing agencies
  • Open houses/career days/job fairs
  • EOE/affirmative action recruitment
  • Employee recognition/retention
  • Headhunters and search firms
  • Leasing agents for store vacancies
  • Church membership recruitment
  • Exported recruitment/billing to other stations in your group
  • Digital recruitment

According to contract, Stonick Recruitment Incorporated (SRI) is paid on all of these areas as long as they are “new” recruitment clients. A client is considered “new” if: 1) they have not been on the air in the last 12 months for recruitment, and 2) they continue to be considered “new” as long as Stonick Recruitment and the client station(s) are under contract, for as many years as we are under contract, together. In addition, clients on the No Fly List initially provided by the radio station(s) will be commissionable if they bill over amount of the previous 12-month billing. In essence, any newly developed recruitment and retention business remains “new” and is commissionable, including clients that renew contracts during this negotiated period of time, between Stonick Recruitment Incorporated and the client station(s).

By signing this agreement, along with the contract, you are stating that you have a clear understanding of what is considered “recruitment advertising”.
